Étouffée is a traditional Cajun or Creole dish made popular in New Orleans and other areas throughout Southern Louisiana. This dish typically consists of a thick, well-seasoned seafood stew served over steamed rice. This dish was first introduced in Louisiana around the 1950s using crawfish, though today it can be made with whatever type of seafood you enjoy. Bolner’s River Road Brand Salt-Free Étouffée Seasoning makes it easy for you to enjoy the traditional Creole-style flavors of Étouffée right in the comfort of your own home. Simply sauté 1 lbs. peeled shrimp in hot butter and stir in the contents of the seasoning package with 1 cup water.
